Ukrainian diplomats in Poland have received information about problems with the treatment of passengers on the Poznan-Kherson bus, which had an accident in Poland on the night of March 6. The Consul General of Ukraine in Lublin, Vasily Pavlyuk, spoke about this.

“We had two signs that in Yaroslav and Rzeszow they refused to treat because there is no insurance. We decided the problem in Rzeszow by contacting the hospital.
According to him, the victim’s treatment will be paid for.
“We will see how, because the carrier has the obligation to pay the insurance if the people were insured,” Pavlyuk said.
On the night of March 6 in Poland, the Poznan-Kherson bus with 57 Ukrainians had an accident. He flew from the overpass into the ditch. First, there was information about six Ukrainians killed and 41 wounded. Later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine clarified that not six Ukrainians died, but five.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported on 35 Ukrainian citizens hospitalized, were taken to hospitals in the cities of Przemysl, Yaroslav, Rzeszow, Lyubachev and Rudna Mala. Some of them were later discharged.
On the night of March 6, 24 passengers from the bus were sent to Ukraine.
According to the preliminary version, the driver of the vehicle lost control.
One of the injured bus passengers, Mikhail Tokmakov, said the driver could fall asleep. “About 50 minutes before the incident, he passed out, he swerved hard onto an empty road. It was already clear that he fell asleep,” he said.
On March 7, Polish law enforcement officers charged the bus driver with manslaughter, faces a prison sentence of up to eight years.
