In Kiev, the police closed two restaurants that violated the quarantine

On the first day of the weekend quarantine, several Kiev institutions violated the restrictive measures. The police drew up dozens of administrative protocols and initiated criminal proceedings.

Due to quarantine violations, the capital’s law enforcement forces forced the closure of the restaurants “Khlebny” and “Rare Bird”, which operated despite the “weekend quarantine” introduced by the government. Administrative protocols were developed for the administration of these restaurants. On Saturday, November 14, the press service of the Kiev Police reported on its Facebook page.

The restaurants received visitors inside the establishment, and not “take out”, as required by the quarantine restrictions.

“Administrative protocols were drawn up for serious violation of the rules regarding quarantine,” police said.

According to the press service of the Kiev police, the administration of the institutions must pay a fine.

In addition, the police initiated criminal proceedings for the operation of one of the sports complexes in the Podolsk district of the capital. According to the Interior Ministry, in addition, law enforcement officials drew up an administrative protocol.

It is observed that the administration of the institution, despite the explanation by the law enforcement officers of the current legislation, refused to stop the work of the sports complex. The police search party was also unable to enter the institution, says the Interior Ministry.

“As a result, an administrative protocol was drawn up under Art. 44-3 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. In addition, on this fact, criminal proceedings were initiated under Art. 325 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” said the Ministry of Interior.

To try to stop the spread of the disease, the authorities have introduced a weekend quarantine this Saturday, but several regions have decided to boycott the decision.
