Twitter accidentally blocked likes on Trump’s posts
For some time, it was impossible for him to like the tweets of the American leader about his victory in the presidential election.
The social network Twitter on the eve of the ban prohibited putting a “like” in the publications of the President of the United States, Donald Trump. The company announced on December 13 that it did so by accident. For a time, it was not possible to like Trump’s tweets about his victory in the presidential election.
“We inadvertently took steps to limit our ability to respond to a tagged tweet. Now the tweet can be responded to,” a Twitter spokesperson told The Hill newspaper.
The post notes that users might not like the president’s posts for at least an hour.
In February, Twitter began tagging messages with false information or signs of tampering with a special poster. Trump, whose posts were often subject to this censorship, accused the social network of meddling in the elections.
Earlier, the Twitter administration announced its intention to transfer the official account of the President of the United States @POTUS to Joe Biden on the day of the inauguration, regardless of Trump’s opinion.
