Turkish authorities banned entertainment programs in hotels during the New Year

Previously, the Alliance of Travel Agents said that restrictions due to COVID would not prevent tourists from celebrating the New Year in most Turkish luxury hotels.

The Turkish authorities have banned hotels from holding entertainment events in the New Year. This was announced on Monday, December 21, in a message posted on the official website of the Turkish Ministry of the Interior about the procedure for celebrating the New Year for tourists in hotels.

The department noted that not long ago, some hotels, hotels and lodging establishments announced and put on sale New Year packages with dinner and musical entertainment, contrary to the measures previously adopted in the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus, which which meant the prohibition of such events.

In that sense, the Ministry of the Interior decided to clarify what would be prohibited in hotels on New Year’s Eve.

So, according to law enforcement officials, it is prohibited to perform dances, entertainment programs with presenters and musicians, parties, shows and gala dinners, a large crowd of people.

In addition, it is prohibited to advertise such events and sell tours with New Year’s events.

“After 10 pm in hotels there can be no musical accompaniment, even in restaurants, homes and other rooms,” the ministry said in a statement.

It was previously reported that in 2020, Ukrainians continued to travel to Turkey, despite the coronavirus pandemic.

It was also reported that the Ministry of Health was urged to refrain from traveling during the winter holidays. The Ministry of Health recommended verifying the epidemiological situation of the coronavirus in the countries before traveling.
