The journalists of the Russian television channel NTV Alexei Petrushko and Ivan Malyshkin were arrested on December 3 in Turkey after filming without permission near the building where the Baykar Savunma company specializing in the production of military unmanned aerial vehicles is located. The authorities explained that two Russian nationals were detained because, without permission, they were filming near the UAV research and development center, where photography and video are prohibited.
An official investigation into the incident is underway, according to the statement.
