The journalists of the Russian television channel NTV Alexei Petrushko and Ivan Malyshkin were arrested on December 3 in Turkey after filming without permission near the building where the Baykar Savunma company specializing in the production of military unmanned aerial vehicles is located. Turkish law enforcement officers detained journalists from the Russian television channel NTV Alexei Petrushko and Ivan Malyshkin for three days. This is reported by TASS with reference to the statement of the administration of the province of Istanbul.

The authorities explained that two Russian nationals were detained because, without permission, they were filming near the UAV research and development center, where photography and video are prohibited.

An official investigation into the incident is underway, according to the statement.

Petrushko and Malyshkin were arrested on December 3. According to TASS, this happened not far from the building in which the company specializing in the production of Turkish military unmanned aerial vehicles, Baykar Savunma, is located due to lack of accreditation.
