The Ukrainian authorities are looking for a site for the Turkish company Bayraktar as part of an agreement on the production of unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported on Saturday October 24 by the Interfax-Ukraine news agency with reference to Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Urusky.
“The Turkish side is ready to make an investment. They need a site with the right requirements from us, where they will build a company, which will eventually produce these devices,” he said.
Urusky clarified that the Turkish side recently introduced such a modified approach, and was previously ready to place production in one of the state companies Ukroboronprom.
The deputy prime minister clarified that Ukrainian engineers and designers will work at the Bayraktar company in Ukraine, and will receive the right to sell UAVs both in the Ukrainian market and in other markets.
Urusky also said that the possibility of joint production of mobile anti-tank missile systems with Turkey and the organization of a joint venture for the production of aircraft engines in Turkey for both UAV and helicopters and a possible advanced combat aircraft is being considered. Turkish.
“We anticipate that several joint ventures will be created, including on the maritime issue,” Urusky said. He clarified that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is interested in Turkish corvettes, detailed negotiations have not yet been carried out, but the first corvette can be built in Turkey, and the rest is already in the Ukrainian company.
