The Department of State Security explained why the former head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tupitsky, was not allowed into the KSU. This is due to the appeal to the State Investigation Office.

This was reported by the press service of the Department of State Security.

The Office noted that according to the presidential decree of December 29, Tupitsky is prohibited from entering the KSU facilities for a period of two months.

“The military of the Department of State Security of Ukraine act only on the basis and within the powers provided by current legislation,” the message says.

We will recall, at the end of December, that President Oleksandr Zelensky removed the head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tupitsky, from office for two months.

As RBC-Ukraine wrote, in early January, the KSU held a meeting of judges in connection with the removal of Tupitsky. The judges expressed concern about the situation, noting “the inadmissibility of such actions by the president.”

It was also reported that Tupitsky became a defendant in the criminal case. At the same time, he had to send the suspicion by mail, since it was not presented for him at the Prosecutor’s Office.
