Acting President Donald Trump tweeted that his son Donald Trump Jr feels «very good ”after testing positive for coronavirus earlier this week.
“My son Donald is doing very well. Thank you! “- he wrote.
According to CNN, the president posted the tweet after Trump Jr. posted a video on his Instagram account Friday night informing his followers about the positive result. Trump Jr. said he was sick «completely asymptomatic “, but is isolated and continues «conventional protocols ”.
He told subscribers that he found out he had the virus after testing before a planned trip with his son.
He later suggested that maybe the test he passed was «false positive, “and added that for now he will continue to follow security protocols and will have some more tests to see if he can spend the holidays with his family.
“You know, take this seriously,” he said, referring to the precautions he was taking.
Trump Jr. is also known to have previously spread a significant amount of misinformation about the coronavirus, including on his Instagram account.
He told Fox News late last month that the death toll from Covid-19 is “next to nothing” at the time the virus has killed more than 228,000 Americans.
