Trump wins unlikely: political scientist

Trump can only win thanks to the electoral college

The gap between the main contenders for the presidency could reach 10 million votes.

The political science professor at Texas A&M University, George Edwards, believes that the current president of the United States, Donald Trump, is likely to lose the next election in the country. On Tuesday, October 27, the expert reported this to the TASS agency.

“There are very few voters left who have not yet decided who to vote for. They will probably support Biden,” the professor said.

According to him, the gap between the main candidates for the position of head of state could reach 10 million votes.

“Trump will not be able to come close to obtaining a majority of the American vote. He can only win thanks to the electoral college, through an unpredictable distribution of votes, as he did in 2016,” Edwards admitted, adding that such an outcome was unlikely.

Remember, the general elections in the United States are scheduled for November 3. The Americans will elect a president and vice president, 35 senators, the 435 members of the House of Representatives, 13 state and territorial governors and representatives of the local government.

According to the latest national poll, Biden is 11% ahead of Trump. 51% of voters are willing to vote for a Democrat, while 40% for a Republican.
