After reaching an armistice in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Turkish side will participate in the control of the ceasefire. Control methods are still under discussion.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said this at a joint press conference with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev, reports turkgun.com.

According to him, today it is still being discussed how the parties will control the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“We will carry out the whole ceasefire control process jointly, and we will also be close to Azerbaijan,” Cavusoglu said.

At the same time, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said that the presence of Turkish peacekeepers in this region has not been agreed. In addition, this issue was not raised in the statements of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

According to the Azerbaijani media, President Ilham Aliyev discussed with his Turkish counterpart the creation of a Turkish-Russian peacekeeping center to monitor the ceasefire. However, the Kremlin emphasizes that the work of such a center, which will be located on the territory of Azerbaijan, is the subject of separate agreements.

Let us remind you that previously the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that the ceasefire agreement in Nagorno-Karabakh includes the deployment of only Russian peacekeepers.

Before that, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the Russian and Turkish contingent will join the peacekeeping mission.
