Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy removed Sergei Trofimov from the post of first deputy head of the president’s office. He has been appointed a freelance advisor to Zelenskiy.

The corresponding decree was published on the president’s website.

The published decree states that Trofimov has been fired in accordance with his request. In another decree, Zelenskiy appointed him an autonomous adviser.

Recall that Trofimov was appointed first deputy head of the Presidential Administration when it was still headed by Andrei Bogdan. After changing the name of the administration to the Office of the President and changing the director in early 2020, he maintained his position.

Prior to his appointment, he worked as an executive producer at Kvartal 95 studio and was responsible for filmmaking. At Bankova, he was responsible for regional policy.

Note that in early September, RBC-Ukraine wrote that Verkhvona Rada began to talk about possible personnel reorganizations at the “peak” of power. We are talking not only about rotations in government, but also about the structure of law enforcement agencies. Potential coalition allies can help Servant of the People fill open positions.
