Forward of the Ukraine and Ghent national team Roman Yaremchuk, who did not enter the application for the match against Eupen the day before (one:2), requested a transfer from the Belgian club, HLN reports.

Gent coach Laszlo Boloni explained Yaremchuk’s absence from the squad due to his unsatisfactory form after returning from the Ukrainian national team.

However, some media speak of the conflict between Boloni and Yaremchuk. The fact is that before the game against Mechelen (one:0) Yaremchuk criticized Ghent’s game under the leadership of the Romanian manager, replying that a Ukrainian could leave the club if he was not satisfied with the team’s performance.

After five rounds of the Belgian Championship, Ghent is only 16th.

Yaremchuk moved to Ghent in the summer of 2016 and his contract with the Belgian club is valid until 2023.

Italian Lazio’s interest in Yaremchuk was previously reported. Also before, Galatasaray was interested in the Ukrainian.
