Italian Atalanta is bolstered by Lokomotiv Moscow footballer and Russia’s Alexei Miranchuk, who plays in the same position as Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinovsky.
Miranchuk’s move to Atalanta was confirmed by the official Lokomotiv website. The deal will be completed after the player passes the medical exam.
According to media reports, Atalanta will pay 14.5 million euros for Miranchuk, and the Russian will sign a 5-year contract with the club.
Miranchuk’s main position is that of an offensive midfielder, and he is a potential rival to Malinovsky of Ukraine, for whom this position is also native.
Miranchuk is a graduate of Lokomotiv, with whom he once became the champion of Russia, won the Cup three times and once the Super Cup of the country.
It was previously reported that Atalanta is considering acquiring the Israeli midfielder from Shakhtar Donetsk Manor Solomon.
