Transfer of territories from Karabakh to Azerbaijan started

“I cordially congratulate all the residents of Aghdam. Dear residents of Aghdam, you are no longer refugees,” Aliyev said in his speech.

“A master plan will be prepared, specialists will be attracted, infrastructure projects will be implemented in a planned manner, administrative buildings will be built, social facilities will be built, roads will be built, other necessary works will be completed. The state will help citizens to return there,” he said Aliyev.

In his words, the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict is left behind.

“The Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict in Karabakh is already behind us, and this was also noted by international experts,” Aliyev said, adding that Baku “was able to achieve its goal” both on the battlefield and in the political arena.

First, demining work will begin in the Agdam region, after which the implementation of infrastructure projects will begin.

Aliyev also stated that Baku is willing to establish normal relations with “sensitive forces” in Armenia if they come to power.

“Today an internal crisis reigns in Armenia. And this is natural. Because a military defeat, and such a shameful defeat, of course, can provoke disturbances in any country. Therefore, probably, if after the end of this crisis, forces sensible come to power in Armenia, then we will be ready to establish normal relations with these forces, “Aliyev said.

In his words, it will be possible, said the president, if the Armenian side “makes the right decision, if it normalizes relations with its neighbors.”

At the same time, the Armenian Radio Liberty service reports that residents of the Aghdam region are leaving their homes. It is observed that they are packing their belongings in cars before setting fire to the abandoned buildings.

Let us remember that according to the agreement, Armenia should also transfer the western regions of Kelbajar and Lachin to Azerbaijan.
