On the night of September 11, a DAF driver, after a collision with another truck, entered the opposite lane and collided with two more cars. Five people died in an accident, 20 were injured. Police detained the 21-year-old DAF driver.
A 21-year-old driver of a DAF FT95 truck, which collided with three cars at the same time on the Kiev-Boryspil highway, was arrested and sent to a remand center. This was announced on September 11 by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kiev region.
As a result of an accident that occurred on the night of September 11 near Ivankov village, Boryspil district, five people died and 20 were injured. As specified by the police, 15 victims are in hospitals.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 3 of art. 286 (violation of the rules of road safety or the operation of vehicles by people who drive vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for a prison sentence of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
DAF, which was heading to Kiev, collided with a Mercedes-Benz 1320 truck, then headed into the opposite lane, crossed the restrictive sidewalk and collided with two more cars: a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus and a VAZ. Pthe driver and two passengers of the minibus were killed, as well as two passengers of the VAZ.
