Traffic accident in the Lviv region with a minibus: 9 people were injured

On January 2, a BMW car collided with a Mercedes Sprinter minibus in the Lviv region. Nine people were injured in the traffic accident.

This was reported by the press service of the regional police.

It is indicated that the accident occurred on January 2 around 23:00 in the Pustomyty district on the Kiev-Chop highway.

“The driver of the BMW, a 26-year-old local resident, lost control, as a result of which the car entered the opposite lane, where it collided with a Mercedes Sprinter driven by a 36-year-old Lutsk resident,” police said .

As a result of the accident, eight passengers from the minibus and a BMW driver were injured. Among the victims are four minors.

It is noted that the 17-year-old passenger of the Mercedes Sprinter and the driver of the car have been hospitalized.

Criminal proceedings have been opened pursuant to part 1 of art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety regulations by people who drive vehicles).
