The Ukrainian futsal team played the first of the two friendlies scheduled with the Hungarian team. Let us remind you that the “blue-yellows” are preparing for the group stage of qualifying for Euro 2022, which begins in December.
The start of the meeting stayed with the site owners. The Hungarians controlled the ball a lot and created several scoring chances. And one of them finished with a goal: after Nagi’s shot, there was a rebound, sending the ball under the bar. However, the Ukrainians managed to recover quickly. Belotserkovets played “on pole” and redirected the ball to Zvarich, who did not miss point-blank range.
In the future, Alexander Kosenko’s wards took the upper hand and the Hungarians carried out infrequent counterattacks. There were no abundant scoring chances, although before the break the ball could fly towards one goal or another. However, the rivals went into the break with a draw.
The second half had barely started when the Ukrainians created several scoring situations. Gritsyna and Eremin were close to success, but failed to get through the goalkeeper. The site owners tried to create problems for the “blue-yellows” through active pressure, but the Ukrainians faced pressure from their rivals. The victory was brought to our team by an accurate shot from Nikolai Gritsyna, who responded to a cross from a corner. Subsequently, the Hungarians took the goalkeeper out and tried to snatch a draw from him. The hosts could not return – the Ukrainians retained the winning result.
The teams will play their second friendly match on Tuesday, November 10. The game will start at 13:30.
Friendly match.
