Tottenham 2: 1. Who doesn’t take chances? ᐉ UA-Soccer

Arteta’s team turned out to be better prepared for the match, both physically and psychologically. Mourinho’s sentinels waited a long time for something, sometimes they had to think: how can the “Spurs” win? Although, of course, the injury of one of Tottenham’s key players affected, Song Min played only 17 minutes, then had to be replaced. The attacking players “Hotspur”, and especially Kane, without such an assistant, had a very bad time.

But “Arsenal” began to attack from the first minutes of the match, showing character and commitment to the fight. Twice Lacazette shot dangerously, Odegaard got into good positions, Smith Row had an incredible opportunity to score in the opening, after his shot the ball hit the crossbar.

The guests regained consciousness for a long time, seemed confused, occasionally carried out counterattacks, but more often they missed attacks in the direction of their doors. In the 26th minute, Lacazette hit the door frame again, “Tottenham” was frankly lucky. And I was especially lucky in the 33rd minute, when confusion reigned in Leno’s penalty area, it’s hard to find someone to blame, but Lamela took advantage of Lukas Moura’s pass. One shot without swing and the ball ended up in the net. The hosts attacked, attacked, and relented.

It took the “Gunners” time to start storming the doors of the “Spurs” again, to gather and activate their forces. And the charges of Mourinho began to play on hold, for which they paid. Odegor restored the status quo with a cold blow. Tierney shot into the penalty area, the defenders forgot to cover Edegor, they also helped him. After the rebound, the ball flew into the net.

In the second half, the hosts were once again the first to put Lloris’ goal to the test, thus showing that victory is more important to them. Lacazette did the best he could and the Frenchman delivered two more good shots. And then Sánchez stopped Lacazetta against the rules. Strange foul in the area, Lacazette missed the ball and the moment seemed lost. But there was a violation of the rules and the referee awarded a penalty. The hero of the match, in cold blood, realized the penalty.

The problem did not reach the guests on its own. After the ball conceded, Lamela also won the second yellow, two optional fouls on his account. In the minority, “Tottenham” managed to create some good attacks, but nothing more. Kane threatened Leno’s goal from the set – once the ball hit the post, once again the offside position prevented the scorer from scoring.

In the last few minutes, “Hotspur” showed his teeth, he looked decent (considering Lamela’s elimination), only there was no time or energy left to recover. Arsenal played one of the best games of the season, took a risk and got a well-deserved victory, which will not do much to climb the rankings. However, if Arteta’s charges continue in the same spirit, the “Gunners” perspectives are seen in bright colors.
