Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to initiate consultations on providing security assistance to Yerevan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia reports on this.

“On October 31, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, presenting in detail the situation resulting from the Turkish-Azerbaijani military aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh and the existing challenges. In the letter, in particular, the circumstance of the participation of foreign terrorists from the Middle East in the hostilities against Nagorno-Karabakh was emphasized, ”the message says.

It is also noted that Pashinyan turned to Putin for immediate consultations to determine the type and amount of assistance that Russia can provide to Armenia to ensure its security, referring to allied relations between the countries, in particular Article 2 of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation from August 29. 1997 year.

Let us remind you that large-scale hostilities between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops on the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh resumed on the night of September 27.

Azerbaijan and Armenia introduced martial law and announced the mobilization of the reserve.
