The Ukrainian side pointed out the constructive nature of the work of the economic group.

During the negotiations of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk, the constructive work of the economic group was carried out, in which the economic vice-ministers worked. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

It should be noted that the Deputy Finance Ministers of Ukraine and Russia joined the talks on May 14.

“The Ukrainian side pointed to the constructive nature of the work of the economic group, in which Ukraine and Russia were represented at the level of deputy ministers of economy,” the statement said.

Earlier, the head of the Presidential Office, Andrei Yermak, said that Ukraine’s representation in the Tripartite Contact Group for a peaceful settlement in the Donbass was raised by representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers and people’s deputies to accelerate the Minsk process.

Note that, by decree of the president, the deputy prime minister for the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories, Aleksey Reznikov, was appointed vice chair of the Ukrainian delegation to the TKG. At the subgroup level, Ukraine will be represented by deputy ministers or deputies, chairmen of the relevant committees of the Verkhovna Rada. In particular, the subgroup on socio-economic issues included the Deputy Minister for the Economy, Yulia Sviridenko.

RBC-Ukraine wrote that on May 14, representatives of Ukraine in the economic group continued to discuss the issue of restoring the tax and settlement systems in certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine within the framework of the Ukrainian legal field.
