Dynamo Belgian forward Ibrahim Kargbo, who
– How did you end up at the Olimpik, because before the start of the season in one of your interviews you said that you had no intention of leaving the Dynamo?
– I think this is a win-win union. I came here to help the team take it to the next level. I was present in several games between Dynamo and Olimpik, and I have good impressions of the Donetsk team.
I think that, having strengthened some positions in the offseason, “Olympic” will be able to claim higher places. For me, this is a great opportunity to progress, because Igor Klimovsky’s coaching staff knows how to work with young players. I am very motivated, I want to learn and acquire new knowledge and skills from the experienced footballers who play here.
I feel the strength to help Olimpik achieve something significant, to get where the team has not been yet. Let’s say, make it to the Europa League. This is my goal in this club. Someone will say that this is unrealistic, but in sports you should not be afraid to set the most ambitious goals.
If Desna and Kolos were successful, why can’t Olympic get there? We have players capable of solving these kinds of problems. All that remains is to fight on the field, surrendering everything.
– Zahedi Shahab became the team’s best player last season and top scorer. Are you ready to compete with the Iranian for a place at the start?
– I’m a fighter! That is why I became a footballer. Wherever I go, wherever I am, I will always fight for my place at the start. Whoever was there. Shahab is older and more experienced than me, he had a great season last season and of course he deserved all that recognition and good words in his speech.
There is a training process in which you will see who is more worthy of starting the game from the first minutes. It is the prerogative of the coaching staff to decide on the squad.
Who knows, maybe, with two strong forwards, the coach, in separate matches, will be able to use a two-forwards system. Each of us has our own strengths, our own trump cards. Shahab made all Ukrainian football talk about himself. Now is the time to introduce you to a soccer player like Ibrahim Kargbo.
– You are not the first footballer who came to the Olympic from the Dynamo. The status of a soccer player of the greatness of Ukrainian soccer implies higher requirements. Everyone expects you and Benito to be players who “will make a difference”, will deliver results. Are you ready for this pressure?
– There is a term that implies the ability to cope with pressure: professionalism. I study and work on this every day. This is what I will inevitably face … The pressure motivates me, I am ready for it. I’ll say more, I look forward to my Olympic debut in the championship.
– You participated in two Olympic sparring matches, where the team lost with a total score of 2: 8. What is the reason for these results?
– The team is now in the process of formation. Many footballers joined Olimpik a few days ago. When there are many different views of the game on the field at the same time, construction is killed. We still lack mutual understanding. Each of us played something different … This can be said of the movements, the insurance and the attack actions. Take, in particular, the match against Kolos. You can see that his team is much more played, because the players have been playing together for several years and they know each other’s capabilities. This played a key role.
Therefore, these results have objective reasons. I’m not even talking about the fact that two games in two days against teams of this level is a huge burden on the players.
He must not be assassinated and attach too much importance to the outcome of these matches. To do this, control fights are held so that the coaching staff has the opportunity to see errors and become better acquainted with the capabilities of the beginners.
2-3 games, and you will see a completely different picture on the field. We will establish communication, learn the requirements for tactical rearrangements, and get to know each other better. Training, training and, again, training …
