Protests in Belarus
The opposition politician pointed out that the residents of Belarus are willing to give the floor and be responsible for it.
Svetlana Tikhanovskaya announced the start of a general strike in Belarus from Monday, October 26. This was announced by the politician’s Telegram channel.
“The regime has once again shown Belarusians that violence is the only thing it is capable of. But it is not being able to set off flashbangs in crowds of people and under the windows of maternity hospitals,” the message says.
“Therefore, tomorrow, October 26, a national strike will begin,” Tikhanovskaya said.
Tikhanovskaya noted that the current government has demonstrated its ability to act only violently.
It should be recalled that in Minsk, to disperse the demonstrators in support of the People’s Ultimatum, the security forces fired warning shots into the air and used flash grenades.
The opposition in Belarus was also reported to claim that more than 100,000 people attended the protest rally in Minsk on Sunday, October 25.
