In Donbass as a result of a fire in a dugout February 22 killed three Ukrainian soldiers. This was reported by the press service of the command of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky on his Facebook page.

“On February 22, during the completion of the dismantling work on the dugout structure after a fire that broke out around 4:00 am on February 20 in one of the brigade’s divisions, the bodies of two soldiers, who probably were in the canoe during the fire, “says the message.

The command said the identification of the bodies will follow a DNA test.

The third soldier received 90% of the body burns and was evacuated to a burn center. Today he passed away from his injuries.

This fact is being verified by the military law enforcement service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The names of the dead soldiers were not reported.



The causes of the fire were not reported.

On February 22, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ruslan Khomchak, reported a fire in the dugout, but could not confirm the death of the military. He said it “burned and burned for a long time,” and the military were unable to open the dugout.
