A 17-year-old boy with cancer died of coronavirus over the weekend. During the pandemic, 16,612 children fell ill.
During the day in Ukraine, the coronavirus was found in 235 children, one child died. This is the third victim of the infection among children, said on Monday, October 12, the head of the Ministry of Health, Maxim Stepanov.
“During the last day, 4420 people fell ill, including 235 children, as well as 166 medical workers. 521 people were hospitalized. During the last day, 43 deaths were recorded in Ukraine, including one child, a 17-year-old boy who had cancer. 903 recovered. During the entire time that the pandemic lasted in Ukraine, 265,454 people sickened, of them 16,612 children, as well as 17,922 medical workers, “said the minister.
During the pandemic, more than 5,000 Ukrainians have become victims of the coronavirus.
Last week, the Ministry of Health announced a record hospitalization of coronavirus patients: almost 1,000 per day.
