Both teams played official matches in the middle of this week, ending them with different moods: “Desna” flew out of the Europa League, losing to Wolfsburg in Germany, and “Ruch” took a debut point in the UPL, taking away points to “Miner”.
Alexander Ryabokon made a small rotation, freeing Ermakov, Mudrik and even Degtyarev at first. Lviv decided not to change anyone, despite the fact that “Rukh” coach Ivan Fedyk before the game expressed concern about the team’s physics.
The match started according to Desna’s scenario, who almost entirely owned the ball. Not to mention that “Rukh” struggled on defense, but this did not save the visitors from a conceded goal: the ball found Gliha’s hand on the goalkeeper’s line – Totovitskiy converted a penalty.
The goal became a catalyst for Lviv residents to play more actively ahead. There were enough moments. Still, the implementation would not fail, so one would expect an intriguing combination. Similarly: Klimchuk did not handle the ball before Past; Kuharevich fired beyond the frame from ten meters without resistance; Klimchuk from sixteen meters was prevented from hitting by Hemp, apparently due to a foul on him.
Only at the end of the half hour of play, “Rukh” realized his moment: Klimchuk closed the flank service anyway.
Until the end of the first half, football was almost the same. “Desna” up front was more dangerous and scored a second time before the break: Degtyarev implemented a one-on-one kick.
Even before leaving the locker room, Duts had to compare the score. The ball found (exactly found) the center-back on the goalkeeper’s line, but the Lviv captain literally stepped away from him and lost the opportunity to hit.
In the second half, “Desna” seemed to be in control of the game, but only a slight advantage left questions. The last doubts were dispelled two dozen minutes before the final whistle: Budkovsky, in an unusual way of two touches, accepted and shot, solved Kalitvintsev’s flank serve.
“Rukh” in the end of the game even tried to attack, but from dangerous situations one can only remember Rusin’s blow from fifteen meters away – Past managed to jump.
Guests should be commended for trying to resist. But it feels like the rivals are in different weight classes right now. In “Desna” it turned out that there is someone to score even without the sold out Alexander Filippov. But don’t be too quick to rejoice: we are not talking about a trend yet, but an isolated case.
