There will be no tranche of the IMF this year: Milovanov

Ukraine will not receive money from the IMF until the end of the year.

The adviser to the head of the President’s Office said that in 2020 the International Monetary Fund will not provide Ukraine with the long-awaited tranche.

Until the end of 2020, there will be no tranche of the International Monetary Fund for Ukraine. This was stated by the adviser to the head of the president’s office Timofey Milovanov on the air of ICTV.

“There will be no stage. This is not realistic. Physically and in terms of the schedule, we don’t have time. There will be no stage this year.”

According to the former Minister of Economy, at the end of the year Ukraine can receive loans from other structures.

“This is a positive signal for the financial markets, allowing Ukraine to attract financing for the period while negotiations with the IMF continue at acceptable interest rates,” Mylovanov said.

Remember that the IMF tranche is expected by the end of 2020 – early 2021. Cooperation with the IMF depends on the adoption of the 2021 budget. Rumors that the program is threatened do not correspond to reality, assured the Cabinet of Ministers .

It was previously reported that Ukraine planned to replace the US ambassador for the sake of the IMF tranche.
