A video of the rescue of 74 tourists who were trapped in an elevator at the Carpathian ski resort in Slavske appeared online.
It was filmed by one of the victims, a video was posted on the website of the State Emergency Service. The woman noticed that she was pregnant and was cold, but her mood had already improved as rescuers came to her aid.
She filmed how they took people out of the elevator, lowered them to the ground with ropes. At the same time, DSNS staff urged tourists to remain calm and assured them that everything will be fine.
We remind you that the elevator stopped due to a failure of the transformer substation. The rescue operation lasted several hours, the air temperature was 1 degree Celsius. Among the tourists were 3 pregnant women and 13 children.
