One of the attackers detonated an explosive device. Several more people may be fleeing, local media reported.
In the center of Vienna, there was a shooting near a synagogue, as a result of which up to seven people could be killed. This was reported by the television channel OE24 with reference to the Police on Monday, November 2.
According to preliminary data, there are at least two attackers: one of them has been eliminated and the second is on the run.
“The police do not rule out that as a result of the shooting, there are seven people dead,” the channel said.
According to the Kronen Zeitung newspaper, one of the attackers detonated an explosive device. Several other people may be on the run.
