Unknown individuals severely beat two women near their home for supporting Oleg Prikhodko, according to VO Svoboda.
In annexed Crimea, unknown assailants beat the wife and daughter of Ukrainian activist Oleg Prikhodko near their home. This was announced by the leader of VO Svoboda Oleg Tyagnibok on his Facebook page on Sunday, January 3.
“In occupied Crimea, the daughter and wife of Kremlin prisoner Oleg Prikhodko were attacked. Women were severely beaten by unknown persons near their home for supporting Oleg,” Tyagnibok wrote.
According to him, the political forces are demanding an official response from the government of Ukraine to what happened.
We will recall, on December 29, that a military court in the Russian city of Vlasikha left Oleg Prikhodko under arrest. He will be in the Rostov-on-Don remand center until March 16, 2021.
Oleg Prikhodko is known to have been arrested on October 10, 2019 in Crimea on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack on the peninsula. Apparently explosives were found in his garage. In “court”, he claimed that FSB agents planted him. Prikhodko faces up to 11 years in prison.
