The vaccine will end the pandemic, according to the WHO

The pandemic will end when humanity learns to live with a new virus, and the vaccine will not help in this.

A future vaccine against coronavirus disease will not end the pandemic and is unlikely to be equally effective for all populations. This was announced by the Director of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, Hans Kluge, the Daily Star reported on Monday, September 14.

“I hear all the time: ‘The vaccine will end the pandemic.’ when we, as a community, learn to live with this pandemic. And it depends on us, this is positive, “said Kluge.

Furthermore, the WHO predicts an increase in the number of deaths from coronavirus in European countries from next month.

“The situation is getting more complicated. In October and November we will see more deaths,” Kluge added.

The increase in the number of deaths will be associated with an increase in the number of cases, he said.

It was previously reported that 2.6 billion UAH will be allocated in Ukraine for the purchase of vaccines against COVID-19.
