The weekend quarantine will not affect the metro

The metro will not be closed due to quarantine on weekends

The Ministry of Health is not yet considering limiting the operation of public transport under weekend quarantine conditions.

The weekend quarantine does not include the closure of the subway. This was stated by the state’s chief medical officer, Viktor Lyashko, in an interview with Ukraine Radio on Wednesday, November 11.

“In the ‘weekend’ quarantine so far, this issue is not being considered,” Lyashko replied when asked about the subway closure on Saturday and Sunday.

He stressed that the weekend quarantine does not yet provide additional restrictions on the operation of public transport.

Let us remember that in Ukraine there are again more than 10 thousand cases of COVID-19. The number of people infected since the beginning of the pandemic has reached almost 490 thousand people. 8,947 patients died.

There are also almost 700 severe COVID patients in Kiev hospitals. 894 coronavirus patients receive oxygen support. There are 31 people under the fans.
