Ukraine’s chief medical doctor, Viktor Lyashko, said the weekend quarantine in Ukraine is still being discussed. However, the quarantine in the country will be extended from November 9.
He announced it on the air of “Ukraine 24”.
“It was a conversation, but the question of how to work and apply restrictive measures to stabilize the situation is being considered,” Lyashko said.
At the same time, he recalled that the quarantine in Ukraine will last until the end of the year.
“We have quarantine since March, it lasts until December 31. We are now living in an adaptive quarantine, and this quarantine will be extended from next Monday,” Lyashko added.
We will recall, earlier, RBC-Ukraine, citing sources, reported that a weekend quarantine may be introduced in Ukraine. It will run from Friday night to Monday morning.
Also, the adviser to the head of the President’s Office, Mikhail Podolyak, said in a comment to RBC-Ukraine that the strict quarantine in Ukraine could return.
We add that a mobile hospital for COVID-19 patients can be implemented at the Feofania hospital in the capital.
Kiev also plans to retrofit the Sports Palace and the International Exhibition Center for these purposes.
