According to Stepanov, thanks to such measures, it will be possible to break the chains of transmission of the virus, because people will have less contact.
«When we look at the situation in the country, we understand that we cannot introduce a blockade, as is done in some countries. Not for two or three weeks. Therefore, we are forced to introduce a strict quarantine on Saturdays and Sundays. These days grocery stores, pharmacies and transportation will be open for us.… Everything else shouldn’t work, ”the minister said on the Right to Vladyka talk show.
Stepanov recalled that since the beginning of September, the number of hospitalized with COVID-19 has increased 3.5 times:
«Now we have 52 thousand beds, we can also increase it by 20 thousand beds. In addition, we will address the deployment of temporary hospitals. We are now considering the city of Kiev, Odessa, Donetsk-Kramatorsk region. “
The incidence of COVID-19 is increasing in Ukraine. As of November 5, 430,467 people fell ill in Ukraine, of which 184,782 recovered, deaths: 7,924.
- During the last day, a new anti-registration was registered: 9850 cases.
- COVID-19 incidence records registered in Kiev (983), as well as in Zaporozhye (523), Donetsk (506), Ivano-Frankivsk (474) and Kievskaya (411) areas.
- In addition, a large number of new cases were found in Kharkov. (771), Khmelnytsky (550) and Odessa (506) areas.
