In September 2020, the average monthly temperature is expected to be in the range of 14-19 degrees (11-12 degrees in the mountains). This is 1-2 degrees higher than the long-term average.

The corresponding forecast is published on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center.

According to forecasters, monthly precipitation is expected to be 35-72 mm, in the Carpathians up to 107 mm, which is within the range of long-term average values.

“September is a month of transition from summer to autumn, characterized by a general decrease in temperature, a weakening of thunderstorm activity. During September, except in most southern regions and Crimea, the temperature average daily changes down by 15 degrees, which means the beginning of autumn “, – says the message.

According to the observations of meteorologists, the average monthly air temperature in September is 12-19 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas 8-13 degrees Celsius.

The absolute maximum air temperature is 30 to 39 degrees, in mountainous areas 22 to 29 degrees. The absolute minimum is 1 to 8 degrees below zero, in the south in some places 0 to 4 degrees.

Frosts in the air were observed in the second and third decades, in mountainous areas and in places in the northern and central regions, in the first decade.

Average monthly rainfall is 27-62 mm, in the Carpathians and Transcarpathia, mainly 71-125 mm.

Recall that on the 29th anniversary of the independence of Ukraine, the climatologists of the Central Geophysical Institute prepared a meteorological review for 29 years. The average daily temperature during this period was 19.1 degrees.

According to the forecast of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, in August 2020 the monthly average temperature is expected to be in the range of 19-24 degrees, which is 1-2 degrees higher than the long-term average values.
