An international group of shipowners’ mutual insurance clubs recommends assessing the risks of concluding contracts for the Nord Stream 2 and Turkish Stream construction projects due to possible US sanctions. This is stated on the group’s website.

Members are reminded that there will be no insurance coverage for boats engaging in illegal activities or putting the club at risk of violating sanctions. Due to the direct threat of sanctions from CAATSA and PEESA, the club will not cover any activities related to the Nord construction projects. Stream 2 or Turk Stream, “the statement said.
