The Vatican launched an internal investigation after Pope Francis’ official account liked a candid photo of Brazilian model Natalia Garibotto. This is reported by the Catholic News Agency, citing its own sources.
It is highlighted that the profile on Instagram where the incident occurred, as well as on other social networks, is managed by a group of employees. The Holy See has already turned to the leaders of the social network for clarification. An internal investigation is ongoing to determine how the “like” happened.
Let’s remember that Pope Francis liked a very sincere photo of the Brazilian model Natalia Garibboto. The Catholic news agency drew attention to the likes of Francisco. The next day, the similar ones disappeared.
The Vatican declined to comment on the incident. Garibotto’s company said it “received an official blessing from the Pope.” Later, the model jokingly commented that “now she’s going to heaven.”
Garibboto doesn’t follow the Pope’s account and Francisco doesn’t follow anyone on Instagram.
