In this way, Washington reacted to the incident that involved Russian forces and a US patrol in the northeast of the Arab country.

The United States has sent additional weapons to Syria to protect the coalition army in the northeast region of the country. This was announced on Saturday, September 19 by the press service of the coalition forces operation Inherent Resolve on Twitter.

It should be noted that the M2A2 Bradley fighting vehicles were transferred to the US military and its partners.

The aid transfer to Syria was confirmed by Captain Bill Urban, a spokesman for the US Central Command. He clarified that as part of the mission, the US authorities also sent the Sentinel radar to the coalition forces. In addition, the number of combat patrols in the region has increased.

Recall that in late August in Syria, an armored personnel carrier from the Russian Federation rammed into a group of American armored vehicles, as a result of which four American servicemen were injured. In connection with the incident, Washington has accused Moscow of violating distrust protocols.

In turn, the Russian Defense Ministry said its military patrol acted in response to US attempts to block the movement of the Russian convoy.
