The presidents of the Minsk Group countries called for an end to hostilities and the resumption of negotiations.
The presidents of Russia, the United States and France, Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron, adopted a statement on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. It was posted on Thursday, October 1 on the Kremlin’s website.
The leaders of the three countries called on the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan to resume negotiations on Nagorno-Karabakh without preconditions.
“We call on the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan to make commitments immediately in good faith and without establishing preconditions to resume negotiations on the substance of the agreement with the assistance of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs,” the statement said.
Putin, Macron and Trump believe that hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh must stop immediately.
“We call for an immediate cessation of hostilities between the armed forces of the parties involved,” the statement said.
The document also says that the presidents mourn the dead and condole the families of the dead and injured.
As you know, France, the United States and Russia are the co-chairs of the Minsk Group, which is participating in the Nagorno-Karabakh negotiations.
