“Vaccination” is doomed to failure: UN
Countries should share vaccines rather than buy them in excess of their needs, the organization stressed.
The UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, condemned the actions of countries that buy vaccines against the coronavirus above their needs. About this he said in a video message to Twitter on Friday, January 15.
“Vaccines are quickly reaching high-income countries, while the world’s poorest countries don’t have them at all. Some countries have parallel contracts, even above need,” Guterres said.
While national governments have a responsibility to protect their populations from coronaviruses, “vaccination is doomed to fail and delay global recovery,” the UN Secretary General concluded.
Our world has reached a heartbreaking milestone: # COVID-19 now it has claimed two million lives.
Unfortunately, the impact of the pandemic has been compounded by the lack of global coordination.
In memory of those two million souls, the world must act with much greater solidarity. pic.twitter.com/wFGZpiLmIj

Remember that Ukrainians will receive an international certificate of vaccination. Each family doctor is expected to issue a document of this type, however, the mechanism is still being developed.
At the same time, the WHO opposed the “vaccination passport”. It is not yet clear to what extent vaccination reduces transmission of the coronavirus, the organization said.
