Ukraine’s youth team held the final match of the qualifying round of the European Championship-2021 between teams whose players are under 21 years of age.
The Ukrainians’ rival was the Northern Ireland Under-21 team, whose defeat in the last round deprived our team of even the mathematical chances of reaching the main stage of the next European Junior Championship.
We didn’t see any goals in the first half, but after the break, Ruslan Rotan’s charges sent the ball into the rival’s goal on three occasions, thus completing their performances in the tournament with a winning note and taking the final third place in the group.
