The Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are investigating the causes of the fire in the Mercedes-Benz car of the Verkhovna Rada deputy of the Party Servant of the People Geo Leros. The study of the recordings of the closed circuit television cameras is being carried out and the witnesses of the incident are being questioned, reports “Strana.ua”.

“Law enforcement officers are determining the causes of the fire in the car of the people’s deputy in Pechersk, the capital. No one was injured as a result of the fire. At the scene of the incident, priority investigative actions are being carried out, ”said the press service of the National Police of Ukraine in Kiev.

The fact that the deputy who published the scandalous notes had burned the car was known on the night of Friday, August 28. Leros posted images from the scene of the incident on his Facebook page, but did not reveal any details.

The MP is associated with the former head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Bogdan, who lost his Telsa electric car in early August due to a fire. The main version is arson, which was recorded by closed-circuit television cameras. Bogdan blames the authorities for what happened.

Previously, Leros showed videos in which a man similar to Denis Yermak, brother of the head of the president’s office, Andrei Yermak, offers to “organize” certain people for government positions. The deputy claims that high-ranking officials and politicians, including the head of the president’s office, committed crimes of corruption. The specialized prosecutor’s office for fighting corruption and the Security Service of Ukraine are investigating possible abuses.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky called the videos “an empty deal” and added that they were made personally to blackmail him. According to the head of state, none of the people involved in the searches was named to any position. Ermak himself described the publication of the video as a “planned operation”.
