The Armed Forces of Ukraine have adopted two Snipex rifles
Both rifles are designed to engage mobile and stationary enemy targets: manpower and lightly armored vehicles.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine adopted two long-range rifles Snipex T-REX and Snipex ALLIGATOR 14.5 mm caliber. This was announced on Thursday, December 31, by the manufacturer of Snipex rifles.
The weapon is noted to have successfully passed state tests. According to the test results, the rifle was adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As stated on the manufacturer’s website, both rifles are designed to take down mobile and stationary enemy targets: manpower and lightly armored vehicles. Both have a floating barrel and the same mechanism design, which dampens the bounce when fired.
Snipex T-REX is a single shot rifle with an marksmanship range of up to 2,000 meters and a weight of 25 kg, excluding ammunition.
The Snipex ALLIGATOR is a 5-round multi-load rifle that weighs 25kg and has a range of 2km.
The dimensions of the rifles are also similar: they are 1.2 meters long and weigh 25 kilograms. The effective range of the bullet and the flight range are also the same: 2 and 7 kilometers, respectively. This means that at a distance of up to 2 km, the bullet can hit its target.
The difference between the models is that the Snipex T-REX is a single shot rifle, while the Snipex ALLIGATOR has a detachable box magazine for five rounds.
Snipex is a brand under which the Ukrainian manufacturer XADO-Holding LLC has been producing large-caliber firearms since 2014. It was under this brand that the first Ukrainian Snipex M long-range rifle was produced. All components of the rifle, including the barrel , are produced by the company in Ukraine.
Recall, on the basis of the International Center for the Maintenance of Peace and Security of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petr Sagaidachny, the border guards exercises were completed in accordance with NATO standards.
