The UAF opened a case against nine Ukrainian footballers who played for the “DPR national team”

The Ukrainian Football Association collected the Ukrainian players who played for the “DPR national team”. The organization is waiting for a written explanation from the players.

“The Security Service of Ukraine contacted the UAF and reported that in the course of operational search activities, information was received that citizens of Ukraine, who are registered in the UAF Analytical and Information Base, As part of the so-called “DPR” national team, they participated in a friendly match against the national team of the so-called “Republic of Abkhazia” on September 25, 2020 at the Dynamo Stadium in Sukhumi.

This appeal is being examined by the UAF Fair Play and Ethics Committee, in relation to which a control will be carried out of possible violations of the UAF Code of Ethics and Fair Play by soccer players in terms of causing harm to the image of Ukrainian football. In order to ensure minimum procedural standards in the case, the following individuals are invited to provide written explanations regarding their participation in such match:
