Montenegro is promoted as a country where the coronavirus is not threatened
Montenegrin Prime Minister Dushko Markovic said the country is preparing to resume the tourist season from July 1, despite the coronavirus pandemic. RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to La Libre.
According to Markovich, the country is preparing to start its tourist season in the coming weeks. At the same time, the government is promoting Montenegro as a country where there is no threat of coronavirus. Firstly, Markovic has tourists from neighboring Serbia and Bosnia.
It should be noted that for several days in Montenegro there are no new cases of coronavirus infection. In total, 324 cases of COVID-19 and 9 deaths from this disease were officially confirmed in the country.
We will remember, previously it was reported that the Montenegrin government decided to weaken the quarantine. The government reduced curfews and allowed stores to increase opening hours. Sports and physical activity are also allowed, but with respect to distance and other preventive measures.
Furthermore, RBC-Ukraine wrote that Montenegro was the last country in Europe, where the first case of coronavirus was recorded. The first patient, COVID-19, was discovered in the country on March 17. Already on March 23 in Montenegro, the first death from a coronavirus was officially confirmed.
