Hourly water supply introduced in Simferopol

Starting Monday, Simferopol residents will have to more carefully calculate the time to shower, wash and prepare food.

In Simferopol and 39 settlements in the Simferopol and Bakhchisarai regions, as of Monday 7 September, an hourly supply of drinking water is introduced due to drought and collapsed reservoirs. On Sunday, September 6, reports the Crimean News portal.

In addition, the portal gives a schedule of water supply to the neighborhoods.

It is reported that the residents of these areas will receive water in the morning and at night, and water consumption will drop to 100,000 cubic meters per day.

“This year is the driest for the Crimean peninsula. The reservoirs that feed the cities and towns of the republic get shallow every day due to hot weather and lack of rainfall,” the message says.

We will recall, earlier, that Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said that Ukraine can resume supplying water to Crimea in the event of a humanitarian disaster on the peninsula. According to the prime minister, the water supply is possible exclusively for the Ukrainian population of the peninsula.
