The Belarusian opposition leader, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, threatened the security agents involved in the suppression of the protest by revealing their names.
Let us remind you that the presidential elections were held in Belarus on August 9, immediately after which mass protests and strikes began across the country. Protest actions against Lukashenka’s false victory are carried out during the second month. Belarusians are demanding fair elections without the participation of Alyaksandr Lukashenka, to whom the CEC gave the victory, as well as the release of political prisoners.
The peaceful protests were accompanied by bloody attacks by security agents controlled by Lukashenka. OMON fighters used water cannons, rubber bullets, tear gas and stun grenades against the civilian population.
During the crackdown on anti-government demonstrations, at least four protesters were killed. Thousands of people were arrested.
