The court satisfied the complaint of the National Commemoration Institute of Ukraine against the decision of the Kiev District Administrative Court on the symbols of the SS Galicia division. The OASK’s decision, which recognized the division’s symbols as Nazis, was canceled.
This was reported by the press service of the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal.
The court noted that the reasons for canceling the OASK decision will be published later, when the text of the decision is ready.
Recall that in May the OASK recognized the actions of the UINP and its leader to reach the conclusion that the symbols of the XIV SS Grenadier Division “Galicia” were not Nazi symbols according to the current legislation of Ukraine. The UINP did not agree with this decision and filed a complaint.
Note that in 2015, the Ukrainian parliament passed a government-proposed bill to condemn the communist and Nazi regimes. With this document, the Rada banned the propaganda and symbols of these totalitarian regimes.
