This is reported by the communication department of the Odessa region police. According to OBOZREVATEL, we are talking about the director and chief physician of the Izmail orphanage, Viktor Protsenko, who can now be sent to jail for 10 years.

According to investigators, for more than two years, a 59-year-old man, who had the responsibility of educating and caring for the victims, “committed lewd acts and sexual violence against them, causing them physical pain and corrupting them.”

It is noted that the man invited the girls to his office on the pretext of supposedly watching cartoons, eating candy and playing games. Instead, he satisfied their sexual needs: “showing children his intimate organ, touching their body and admiring the opposite action.”

To cover up his crime, the head of the institution urged the children not to tell anyone about their “games.” In particular, he explained that it was supposedly just her secret with him, which no one should know about.

Based on the evidence collected, the man was informed of the suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 153 (Sexual abuse) and part 2 of Art. 156 (Corruption of minors) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As OBOZREVATEL reported:

  • The scandal erupted after the hospital nurse contacted the police. According to the woman, she could not bear it when she noticed characteristic marks (abrasion and redness) in the genital area of the boys.

  • However, the police were in no rush to open criminal proceedings, while the chief doctor himself said that this was all a lie and a provocation.
