The head of the Interior Ministry said the man suspected of attacking Balukh was detained.
The head of Ukraine’s Interior Ministry, Arsen Avakov, said he was a suspect in the attack on Crimean activist Volodymyr Balukh. He announced it on the night of Friday, September 18, on Twitter.
“Kiev police detained a suspect in the attack on Volodymyr Balukh on the night of September 8,” Avakov wrote.
He added that the details will be released shortly in a statement from police and prosecutors.

Recall, on September 8, director Oleg Sentsov announced the beating of Balukh. According to him, the victim has a broken arm and clavicle. Later it became known that Balukh was beaten on the territory of the Kiev hydropark. According to the police, his phone and bank card were missing.
