In Donbass, the OSCE SMCE recorded 260 explosions.

On April 30, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) recorded 215 explosions in the Donetsk region and around 45 in the Lugansk region. This was reported in the May 1 SMM report, RBC-Ukraine reports.

In the Donetsk region, the SMM observed an increase in ceasefire violations, and also recorded more explosions (around 215) compared to the previous reporting period (around 25 explosions).

It is observed that most of the explosions registered in areas southeast of n. Chermalyk (controlled by Ukraine, 77 km south of Donetsk), less than 5 km from Donetsk filter station (15 km north of Donetsk), as well as in areas southeast of the town Gnutovo town (controlled by Ukraine, 90 km south of Donetsk).

In the Lugansk region, the mission observed a decrease in the number of ceasefire violations, while registering more explosions (approximately 45) compared to the previous reporting period (10 explosions).

In most cases, ceasefire violations were recorded in areas east, southeast and south of Popasna (controlled by Ukraine, 69 km west of Lugansk), southeast of n. Muratovo village (controlled by Ukraine, 51 km northwest of Lugansk), as well as northeast of the breeding site in Zolotoy district (controlled by Ukraine, 60 km west of Lugansk).

Recall, according to the OSCE SMCE, in the Donbass since the beginning of this year, the militants violated the “silence” more than 7 thousand times.

Previously, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that the OSCE SMCE should be able to work fully in Donbass territories not controlled by Ukraine.
